What Goes Into Making Fenton Glass? The formula for Fenton Art Glass is Sand (SiO2) 71%, Soda Ash (NaCO3) 15% and Lime (CaCO3) 9%. Opaque glass sometimes has fluorspar and feldspar instead of Lime. The remaining 5% of the formula is what makes the color. These are all mixed before melting.
